WE GOT so close but in the end our 20/20 efforts petered out disappointingly at Chelmsford as we were unable to capitalise on a decent bowling performance.
Having restricted Essex to 159 we never got started in our innings and were bowled out some way short of the target, as scoring ten or more an over against a spinner of Danish Kaneria's ability proved too much.
