RECORDS tumbled at this year's JPMorgan Asset Management Round the Island Race.

The event, held on Saturday, saw a record entry and also a new record for the fastest monohull round the course.

Organised by the Island Sailing Club since 1931, 1,875 entries were received this year for this unique event, which involves everyone from Olympic athletes and professional round-the-world skippers to cruising boats and first timers, enjoying their one race in the season.

This year's guests included F1 star Lewis Hamilton who was sailing on Hugo Boss.
