Author Blake Morrison comes to Winchester

Bestselling author, journalist and poet Blake Morrison will visit Winchester Discovery Centre on Monday 7th July at 7.30pm to discuss his writing.

Famed for his remarkable memoir 'And When Did You Last See Your Father?', made into a recent film starring Colin Firth and Jim Broadbent, Blake's latest title is a compelling and comic state-of-the-nation novel of modern Britain, 'South of the River'.

Quite a departure from his previous work but still with the same central concerns: families, love, work, sex and death.

It captures the mood over five particular days spanning a five year period as experienced by five different characters! 'South of the River' is currently being adapted for television.

Books will be available for sale and signing on the night.

Tickets £5, Box Office, Theatre Royal Winchester, 01962 840440
